Nurses Events & Recognitions

The Foundation recognizes quality nursing and outstanding nurses in a number of ways, including competitive awards and public recognition programs. Below are some of our current awards, but these may change during the year, so you are encouraged to visit this page regularly to see what new awards and programs we are offering. Awards & Fund Raising Events

• Shining Stars of Nursing Awards Gala (formerly administered by the Foundation as Future of Nursing in Nevada, or FONN) is an annual event held at different locations throughout the state. This year's awards dinner will take place Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, NV. Click here for details!
• Big Hat High Tea, a fun social event with silent auction items and raffle prizes; this year's event took place Saturday, April 20, 2024. Refer to the event flier for much more information.
• Nurses Have Talent, an event featuring professional entertainment and amateur competition; this took place November 30, 2017.
